Legacy Village of Jacksonville Overwhelmed by Response—2.6 Million Views—to Post Featuring Students Singing ‘Washed by the Water’
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (January 29, 2020) — The Legacy Village of Jacksonville Facebook page has received an overwhelming response—an astounding 2.6 million views!—to a video of Helen Keller School student group The Singing Eagles performing “Washed by the Water” for our assisted living and memory care residents.
The students, directed by instructor Lanier Corbit, had traveled from Talledaga, Ala., for a return visit to Legacy Village of Jacksonville during the holidays to sing several Gospel and Christmas songs.
The video immediately went viral when uploaded to our Facebook page and set a record not only for Legacy Village of Jacksonville, but also its parent company Cleveland, Tenn.-based Legacy Senior Living. Viewers have shared the video more than 40,000 times and left over 25,000 comments/responses. Watch the video here and be sure to share and leave a comment.
Activities Director Robbie Bell received a Facebook message from one of the students’ teachers, who said “the kids now think they are rock stars.”
